I have been engineering for a while now. I started back when I hooked up with Kevin Gilbert back in the 90's. He taught me the ropes and I have been trying to learn more and become better at it ever since. It is just a different way of looking at music. I have been playing with Bryan in the MK band for years now and I feel that he is one of the best bassists this world has to offer. He always used to say though "I don't write music, I just play" Luckily for you and me he changed his tune and started writing and came up with some amazing songs. I personally knew he could do it. He had me check out his demos and I pushed him hard from hearing those first songs to let me be the guy who recorded him. I finally convinced him and he hired me on. We recorded at Lawnmower, I work there a lot as you might already know, all on Pro tools. He assembled a group of great players to play his songs and let me man the console. I am very proud of this record actually. I was a lot of fun to record and mix. You should all check it out if you like good music.
