I have been playing with Mike for a number of years now. What a great gig this is. This band and Mike's music uses every bit of knowledge and musicianship I have. I have done some tours, gone to Europe, but have never had the opportunity to record a MK record with him until now. Now Mike has had only amazing drummers play and record for him on his previous records, so I feel very privileged to be part of that company. This record runs the gamut from straight-ahead pop/rock to full-blown MK craziness that you know him for. It is a very powerful quartet of MK on guitar/keys/lead vocals, Rick Musallam on guitar/backing vox, Bryan Beller on bass and little 'ol me on drums and computer programing for a very fast and furious song called "Physics". We recorded at two different studios in San Diego, CA, all to analog tape. I used my Gold Mapex Orion series kit on all the songs. Go check out MK's website for all the info on the new record.
